NEW FILM RELEASE: Introduction to Continuum and the Continuum Teachers Association
Saturday, December 5th, 2026
10-11am ET on Zoom
This introduction to Continuum and the Continuum Teachers Association was filmed live on location in Chapel Hill, NC in September 2025. The first part of the film joins Megan Bathory-Peeler (CTA Administrative Coordinator) and Rebecca Lawson (CTA Membership Coordinator) in conversation about what Continuum is and how the CTA functions, including an explanation of the mentoring model pathway to becoming a CTA Member.
In the second part of the film, CTA members – Ellen Cohen, Lauren Wadsworth, and Erin Butterworth – collaborate in teaching live and participatory introductory Continuum explorations themed around Emilie Conrad’s Three Anatomies: Cultural, Primordial and Cosmic. The mix of movers allows newcomers to see a variety of bodies moving with recorded narration of what is happening during the practice of Continuum. These sections of the film include reflective, felt-sense participant sharing at the end of the explorations which is an essential integrative part of the group practice of Continuum.
This film was initiated by an invitation to the Continuum Teachers Association to contribute to the ISMETA Professional Development Center. The CTA is honored to collaborate with ISMETA in nourishing Somatic Movement practitioners around the world.
This full-length experiential film will be posted on the CTA's website following this celebratory event!
This project was nurtured into being by the CTA-ISMETA Film Task Force: Jane Okondo, Gael Rosewood, Sylvain Méret, Lauren Wadsworth, Megan Bathory-Peeler and Rebecca Lawson.
