Introduction to the Principals of Continuum
Have you wanted to participate in Continuum classes or workshops, but were not clear what to expect in this practice? Understanding some basic principles can assist one in knowing how to enter the Continuum inquiry. In this workshop, you will learn some of the basic breath and sound streams which affect our physical bodies and perceptual capacities. This direct experience practice enhances our ability to track, sense, and feel the movement we are, opening the doorway to creativity and discovery.
Continuum is an embodiment exploration; dissolving patterns of conditioning and opening sensory awareness for fresh perceiving.
Slowing down, using the dexterity of breath, sound, micromovements and attention, we listen closely to our bodily sensations and cultivate a deeper connection to our Bio-Intelligence. As our fluid nature moves with greater flow and responsiveness, the life process within us becomes more adaptable to context, whether physical or psycho/emotional.
Rather than following a fixed system of postures or formalized exercises that maintain patterned structures without release, our explorations delve into the play of emerging and dissolving form. Via the body and its fluid intelligence, we soften our habits of conditioning and enter a larger field of communication with life. As we shed old walls of habit, we emerge into new possibilities of being and perceiving.
