Living Presence, A Continuum Workshop

Your body is a rich, mysterious world of sensations – a somatically organized field of intelligence, creativity, and aliveness. In any moment, you can enter this field.

Yes! It is possible to live our life in creative resonance with the oceans within and the ever-changing world outside.  When we slow down, breathe, sound and step out of our own way, the miraculous happens---the fluids within move with unencumbered grace and ease.  As we become curious and self aware, our bio-intelligence is given the space to naturally return the system to health and spontaneity. The acquired space, calm, and vision brings us to a place of acceptance and confidence as we allow "life to live us rather than us controlling life.’’

Through inner micro-movements, wave motion, breaths and sounds, we shall enter movement dives that are organismic, wise, and revelatory.  We will open our sensory knowing and attention to a spacious aliveness that frees us to embrace our true nature.

Rebecca Amis Lawson, MA, R- DMT, Authorized Continuum Teacher has been whole-heartedly involved in dance, psychology, and movement practices for the last 40 years.  She is a somatic practitioner using the body and movement to facilitate the therapy process. In addition to working with clients privately, she teaches Continuum classes at her home in Chapel Hill and internationally.  In her work, she has been able to coalesce psychological mindedness, a love of dance, and a heartfelt sense of humanity.  She facilitates experiences that are revelatory, expressive, and self-creating.
