Full Moon & New Moon Ceremonies ~ September through December

In contrast to the Sun's stability - reliably keeping the same shape and moving on a familiar linear path through the sky from sunrise to sunset - the Moon is in a constant state of change, echoing the rhythms of life itself as it waxes to fullness, wanes to complete darkness, and rebirths itself into becoming once again.
Gathering on the evenings of Full and New Moons, we will co-create and maintain a communal sanctuary in these twice monthly ceremonies. We will consciously enter the of the mystical continuum of birth-death-rebirth and see where the cyclical forces of Nature take us on our embodied explorations with breath, sound, song, rhythm, and movement.
Ceremony is essentially missing in current culture. These ceremonies will help us relocate ourselves in our bodies, remove ourselves from the sensory overload of modern life, and drop into our place in the interconnected web of life. These ceremonies are about restoring our essential relationships with all that is.

We can become our own non-judgmental witnesses, fully present to our own process, without expectations of outcome. This enhances our ability to rest into what is, to be in the Here and Now. By reconnecting to what is alive in each of us with more empathy and compassion for ourselves, we may find it easier to perceive the same in others and offer that gift out to the other human and non-human beings around us, deepening our trust in our own inherent wisdom and the interdependence of all things.
The Babylonians beautifully called the Moon "the fruit that grows from itself." So, what are you interested in growing? What guidance will you discover when we regularly quiet ourselves and become more comfortable with the silence within?
